About AppraisalDay.com

Paul is no ordinary guy and he's not trying to buy your stuff.
Paul is a nationally known expert and uses his knowledge to change people lives by finding treasures in their homes or finding treasures at charity events for historical societies, museums, and other good causes. He has raised tens of thousands of dollars for libraries, historical societies, museums, charities and other organizations with his lectures and appraisal events.  Paul has authored several books, set many auction records and placed important pieces in  museums across the country including a painting by John Singleton Copley.

Paul grew up going to yard sales, flea markets and auctions with his parents.  By the time he
was twelve he already sold a piece in a major auction house that he found at a yard sale.
He went to Clark University, MA and received a Master's degree at Claremont University, CA.
At 26, he authored two books on antiques and was an auctioneer for a major US auction house and an appraiser on the PBS series Antiques Roadshow for the first five seasons.

Today, Paul is an independent appraiser, gallerist and auctioneer who
helps people identify treasures in their homes and raises money for charities and non-profits.
Follow Paul as he finds treasures all across America and lives along the way!

AppraisalDay.com founded in 1999 is the oldest valuation site on the Internet.

About the Show:
No, Appraisal Day is no pawn shop supposedly telling you the value of your items,
some elite auction house or dealer trying to buy your items for half the price.
Appraisal Day is one man based in New England with a lot of experience
(author of several antique books, previous appraiser PBS series Antiques Roadshow, record setting auctioneer, host of hundreds of appraisal events).
Paul tells people the true value and history of their items and by doing so changes their lives forever.
His wife calls him the human lottery ticket because of all the treasures he has found for his customers.
Join Paul along with his friends and family as he values fine art, antiques & collectibles for people across the country,
raising money for charities, organizations and good causes and helping people along the way with his pay it forward philosophy.

This Steiff teddy bear was in a closet in the estate of a person with Alzheimer.  Paul got the estate over $10,000 for the bear which was later used for charity!

Found in an attic by a person helping an elderly client downsize they contacted Paul who graded the gold coin and sold it for $17,000!

A lady brings this painting in for an appraisal after a dealer offered her $4,000.
Paul got her $241,500 for it!

This painting was left by a customer's father in a crate in a basement.  Paul identifies the artist, restores the painting and helps put his customer's children through college!
